Training

         Eragon went with Arya to Esmerella which is the city of elves. He did extensive training on hand to hand combat and with magic so that if he ran out of power he could protect himself without Saphira's help. In Esmerella he was taught by another dragon rider whose dragon only had one leg so he couldn't fight anymore so he is just the wise old elf of the city and he gives help were it is need. His dragon only had three legs but it could beat Eragon's dragon in only a few seconds because it had ability and knowledge.
